Description
Matt Hardy debuted on WWF Superstars in 1995 in a match against Owen Hart. It wasn't until 1998 that he and his brother Jeff were given full time contracts and debuted as the tag team The Hardy Boyz.
He took time off from WWE in 2005 after trying to kill Edge for stealing his woman Lita. He returned shortly after and briefly reunited with Jeff before turning on him in 2009. After being defeated by Jeff in an I Quit match at Backlash, following his win at Wrestlemania 25, he took time off to deal with a long standing abdominal injury. He reconciled with Jeff just in time to see Jeff leave the WWE for an extended hiatus.
